Sophie Pascoe (Paralympics) INQUIRY Week 6

Hey bloggers,

Today I have learnt about paralympic champions. I chose Sophie Pascoe because I was impressed by her story. At the age of 3 Sophie and her father were in a ride on lawn mower accident, she had her left leg amputated below the knee and was left with severe scarring on her right leg. But Sophie didn't give up swimming and became a NZ paralympic champion.
Sophie Pascoe has 15 medals in total! I enjoyed to know more about her.

Check the poster about Sophie Pascoe below:

  1. Hi Dasha. Yes -she is amazing. You have written some interesting facts about her. She went to Halswell school near us. I watched her swim the other night in the para olympics. Did you see her on the TV? Can you find out how many medals she won this year?

  3. Hi Dasha,
Thanks for sharing what you found out about Sophie Pascoe. How did she go in Beijing Olympics? I wonder how much she trains?
Well done on winning the cleanest room challenge, I've mentioned what you did in the challenge, so my kids might feel inspired :)
    Well done Dasha!

    1. Hi Adele,
Sophie Pascoe won three gold medals and one silver medal in Beijing 2008 Olympics. I think she trained a bunch of times like every day.
